Festival of Lights

Written by kathy on Sunday, 24 of December 2006 at 8:45 pm

The tiny town of Weissport near Lehighton hosts a Festival of Lights. The Franklin Lions Club organizes the event and claims to have more than 400,000 lights in various styles throughout Phifer Dam Ice Park in Franklin Township. We don’t doubt the claim and the boys loved the lights! Here are some pictures from the event.

New Haircut

We didn’t think Jacob would like the spiked look, but he loves it. He even helped pick out the gel at the store and held it all the way home!

Getting ready for Christmas

The boys visited Santa and Mrs. Claus at the local Boy Scout Troop’s breakfast with Santa. The best part was asking Jacob what Santa said and seeing his face — he was surprised and I think a little sad that Santa knew he was getting numbers at school instead of smiley faces. When I asked Jacob what Santa said, he replied: “To get smiley faces at school.” I said “and,” and he continued, “then I can get my Pokemon cards.”

William, of course, was fine with Santa knowing about him because William is a little angel at school.
